God is not a bully

Welcome to package 2

God is not a bully

Bullying is when someone bigger than you forces you to do what is against your will. But God doesn’t do that!!. God allows you to make your choice however you will bear the consequences of your choice,

PARADISE LOST

(Gen 2:7-17, Gen 3:1-7)

God made the whole world and made a beautiful garden for Adam and Eve. God Himself had a wonderful friendship with them. God told Adam he could have all the plants for food. Just imagine, he doesn’t have to buy anything, just for him to enjoy! They must be very happy.

In the garden were two special trees. Do you know their names?

Tree: of the knowledge of good and evil.

Tree: of Life.

God told them not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, else: they will die. But they did exactly the opposite, they ate the fruit and it was their choice!!!

God will never do that because He is not a bully. He allows them to make their choice, Adam and Eve made the wrong choice and die not physically but spiritually. How? The spirit of God inside of them when He breathes on them left them and they became ordinary men.

Gen 2:7

“Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being” (KJV)

Gen 6:3

“Then the Lord said “My Spirit will not content with human forever for they are mortal”

Beggar: by the roadside. ( MK 10:46-52)

In the city of Jericho lived a blind man called Bartimaeus who sat daily by the roadside begging for coins. When he heard that Jesus passing by: he cried out to Jesus for help. “Jesus son of David have pity on me” “stop that noise” the people shun him down. But Bartimaeus only shouted louder.

Boys/Girls, you must not allow others to intimidate you. Jesus stopped, “bring him here He ordered. Bartimaeus hurried to Jesus throwing off his clothes as he made hast to meet Jesus.

Jesus saw that he was blind and will need his sight yet Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you” Lord I want to be able to see” Jesus healed him. Again his will is very important.

There are many promises in the Bible God want His children to enjoy but He will not force them on you, you have to be willing before they can be yours.

Isa 1:19++

“if you be willing and obedient, you will eat the  good things of the land”

Rev 3:20

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me”
